Comments:

After HS, attended and played basketball and ran track at South Plains College. Attended West Texas State, Texas Tech, Sul Ross. Received undergraduate degree, 2 Master's degrees, and administrative certifications.

Coached and taught at Springlake-Earth, Floydada, Frenship, Fort Stockton. Was an Athletic Director in Odessa.

Roseva was a great coach's wife, teacher, and mother of our two daughters. (Both my boys turned out to be girls, but they were keepers)
Roseva was one of those junior and senior English teachers but a good one. Most of our classmates would have really liked her.

Diane is the mother of our two granddaughters now in HS in Leander and she also is an educator.

Gina is a pharmacist by trade but is in upper management for a pharmaceutical company in San Francisco. Never been married but still available.

We are retired at Lake Whitney and spend a lot of time with our church, volunteering, playing golf, and traveling. I am a sports official for HS volleyball and basketball and college and HS track.

School Story:

I had a successful HS career and had many positive experiences and developed many life- long friendships, but I sometimes wish I had been much more global and had taken advantage of more opportunities to get to know more of my classmates more personally and to have developed and maintained long term relationships. There were many very fine extracurricular and academic opportunities at PHS.

I'm still amazed at how diversified our class became and how PHS 62 has spread all over he nation.

Since the advent of the PHS 62 web site, I have developed a new sense of pride for our class.

Where else have you lived?

Levelland,Canyon, Lubbock, Springlake-Earth, Floydada, Wolfforth Frenship, Fort Stockton, Odessa, and now Whitney. Not exactly nation wide or international, but many education and coaching stops. Developed a great network of former athletes and friends everywhere.

Still have family in/around Plainview? Who?

None

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

World Series, Final 4, Masters, SuperBowl
(Still can't get away from sports.)

Met any famous or interesting people through the years? If so, who?

All of my classmates and other graduates of PHS

Gov George Bush

Too numerous to mention sports dignitaries from all levels

What would we be surprised to know about you?

Roseva and I are actively involved teaching Defensive Driving for Seniors. We team teach and have a lot of fun with our participants.

As a girls' athletic coach, I was President of the Texas Girls' Coaches Association in 1988-89.

Thanks all of you for birthday blessings. We're fine and things are good. Enjoying great fall weather and recent rain. Hasn't helped my golf game, but thankful I can still do it upright and moving. Take care all!!

Thanks, Linda — would like to do what your suggesting. But either COVID dangers and a severe illness in my wife’s family prevents us from traveling anytime soon. Hope you’re doing well and staying safe. We are fine and no one in our immediate family has any issues.
