The Veterans Memorial on the Court House Square
in Plainview was dedicated as part of the Texas
Sesquicentennial in 1986

There are 2100 veterans buried in the three cemeteries in Plainview. This total includes 75 Civil War Veterans as well as seven Spanish/American War servicemen.
